Hello. My daughter Signe was in treatment via NetCoaching last year. Signe XXX born 23 June 2010. We started the treatment in June 2011.

I now contact you again to ask for advice. Signe had surgery a month ago because the hole from the button did not heal properly. We removed the button in November 2011. After the surgery she developed a fever and stopped eating for a week or so. She eventually began to eat small amounts but then got a stomach flu which lasted for over a week. We have now been hospitalized, and she has received drip. She has lost 500 grams and is extremely thin. (She is 79 centimeters tall and has gone from 8.8 kg to 8.3 kilos in a month.) She barely wants to walk on her own, she just wants us to carry her, she's whiny, weak and tired and eats extremely poorly.

We are now on leave from the hospital to see if she starts to eat at home but we see no progress at all. The next step is to go back to the hospital to have a nasogastric tube again.

We are obviously desperate and worried about how it will affect Signe to have a tube again. She vomited large amounts when she was tube-fed and we are concerned that we will go back to square one. At the same time, we see that she must be getting food to have the energy to start eating again. We do not recognize our baby girl anymore!

Our question is if you have any advice when it comes to start probing again. Our idea is to give her as little food as possible in the tube and only when she is eating her self and during night time. Are we thinking right or do you have any other suggestions?

Please advise us! We are miserable over the development.

Det är natt och hela familjen sover utom jag. Jag vill skriva men händerna är lika trötta som mitt hjärta så det blir bara dessa ord:

I helgen åker vi tillbaka till sjukhuset som jag och Signe kom hem från tidigare idag. Vi åker för att sätta sond på henne. Vi har fått ett dygns permission för att se om hon kommer igång med maten igen i hemmamiljö, nu när vätskenivåerna är okej tack vare dropp och magsjukan är borta. Vi ska pröva men jag vet redan att det inte kommer att gå.

Signe vill inte äta, hon har tappat ett halvkilo i vikt, är magrare än någonsin och de onda tankarna från förr om att min dotter inte vill leva skaver långsamt, långsamt hål i mitt inre.
